What War?

The Wars by Timothy Findley is an extrvagant journey which delves into the souls of various individuals and evaluates the internal conflict that they are each confronted with. The title itself reflects upon the fact that there is not just one "war" as it is in plural form which means that there are multiple "wars". The novel utilizes World War I as the backdrop which consequently influences the conclusions that the characters eventually achieve and work towards. The setting of the novel can classify it to be a historical fiction novel. The intensity to which each individual is developed gives the audience the opportunity to see the depth of their character in light of both their moments of happiness and sorrow, that shape who they are. The image below represents the obstacles which are in the way to achieve greatness, in this case is the darkness and the unknown.
